Tech stocks live: SpaceX stock gets its next catalyst, Samsung earnings on deck

Tech stocks rose in premarket trading on Monday as AI concerns subsided and investors assessed strong momentum for hardware companies in the first half of the year.

Among the major moves this week in tech, SpaceX (SPCX) stock will be added to the Nasdaq-100 (^NDX) on Tuesday. SpaceX’s fast-tracked inclusion in the index will require mutual funds and exchange-traded funds that track the index, like Invesco’s QQQ (QQQ), to buy the stock. The move comes after 15 full days of public trading for SpaceX.

South Korea’s Samsung (005930.KS) and SK Hynix (000660.KS) are also expected to shake up the tech sector this week.

Samsung reports second quarter earnings on Tuesday and is expected to deliver blockbuster results amid surging demand for memory chips. The world’s biggest maker of memory chips is expected to post an 18-fold jump in profit year-on-year, far outstripping its total for all of 2025. The report will also be the first since Samsung agreed to boost employee bonuses following contentious pay negotiations this past spring.

SK Hynix (000660.KS), meanwhile, is scheduled to begin selling American depositary receipts (ADRs) soon, launching a US listing for the world’s top supplier of high-bandwidth memory.
