It’s been a Steven King masterclass in the first quarter. Sticking to their pre-season promise to be bold and dangerous, the Dees’ run and carry has dismantled Geelong and, if anything, Melbourne should be further in front.
The Demons have already taken five marks inside 50, continuing their dominance in that area with the likes of Jacob van Rooyen, Bayley Fritsch and Harrison Petty starting forward.
The problem is, the scoreboard doesn’t reflect their dominance. Shannon Neale is looking to take advantage of his match-up against the inexperienced Lukas Cooke and already has two goals to his name.
