The Roosters get the first chance of the game, Cody Ramsey making a half break down the right then Daly Cherry-Evans putting up a bomb that’s spilled by Dolphins winger Tevita Naufahu. Rex Bassingthwaighte – a late inclusion on the wing for the Roosters – regathers and it’s six again.
The visitors make the most of the set and pin the Dolphins on their tryline, lock Salesi Foketi then cutting through with an angled run to cross for the game’s first try.
Or is it? That looked a cut-and-dried try but the bunker has stepped in and found a double movement – apparently a Dolphins’ defender’s hand was on Foketi as his arm brushed the ground on the way to the tryline. He definitely hadn’t stopped moving, spinning his way towards the line, but the bunker says it’s no try and the Dolphins escape with the ball.
